Introducing: The Infiltrator
Hey Keepers,
did you ever think about how Dome Keeper would play if our keeper would not have a jetpack, but would run and jump around, bound only by gravity and your platforming skills? Wonder no more! It's a bit insane to add this to the game, but The Infiltrator does deliver on that. One key element of traversal besides the jump is the rope with which you can pull yourself in all directions at high speeds, making the movement of the Infiltrator truly unique. You'll think totally differently about the mine, as suddenly you find yourself building caves that support movement with jumps and the rope much better.[previewyoutube="F5Z9bNnZV7E;full"]This makes the Infiltrator not easy to play. It really offers a lot in terms of skill expression for the movement. The most slick of you will rope around in crazy maneuvers, but it definitely needs some training to get good.
Not only that, but a Shuriken upgrade tops this off with a really powerful blast that makes short notice of a whole cluster of rock.
The Infiltrator has another trick up their sleeve: a sonar. When Kunai bounce on rock, the underlying resources are revealed.

The Infiltrator does have another trick up their sleeve though: the kunai carrier. Throwing resources into any direction attached to a Kunai, sticking them into walls and ceilings as needed.

Not long to go now,
René
PS: here are two cool artworks, one from Erik from our team and one from the OG pixel artist of Dome Keeper, Anne, who did a watercolor version :)
