Updated Creative Mode in Demo!

Hello There!We are now less than 20 days away from full launch, which honestly feels a bit surreal. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous. BUT more than anything, I’m really excited to finally share the full ShantyTown experience with you all. 

It was a bit buried in the last update, but there are major changes to the amount you can play around with Creative Mode in the demo, to the point that the new Blankspace might start to become people's hub for all sorts of custom town creations.If you haven’t downloaded it already, the demo is updated on Steam, and I’d really love for you to check it out. Even as we draw close to the launch, every bit of feedback on your experience really helps me and shapes the game!  You can also take advantage of the current Build Competition, which is set in the Blankspace, so you can see how just a few additions can open up the space a lot!

Demo Update Reminders

Just a quick bump on some of the changes I shared previously. These are in the demo now if you want to check them out: 

• Creative Mode and Story Mode are now fully separate: Builds won’t carry over between the two anymore. If you want to save something in Creative Mode, you will need to snap a quick photo of it. [/*]
• Creative Mode now highlights completed maps: It’s a bit more “focused” now, allowing you to appreciate the completed maps instead of everything all at once. [/*]
• Expansion of the Creative Mode to include Stilts and Platforms: This is a huge change to the Blankspace, which normally gave you only a small platform to build on. Now, you can build outwards as well as upwards, and create entire thriving cities on your own. Be sure to check out Blankspace in the Creative Mode!
