All You Need to Know before Scriptorium launch tomorrow!
April 15, 2026by Yaza Games
Hello Scribes!
It’s the release day eve today, and the final countdown is officially on. We are happy, a bit nervous, but hopeful for the best. Tomorrow, April 16, Scriptorium: Master of Manuscripts finally releases after years of development!Right now, we are making final preparations. It is a mix of excitement and those typical pre-launch jitters, but mostly, we just can’t wait to see you all playing the game and creating amazing artworks. To make sure you are 100% ready, we have put together this "All You Need To Know" guide covering all the practical details for tomorrow. Take a look, read through and prepare for your time in Scriptorium! Here is everything you need to know before the game drops:- Scriptorium will launch tomorrow at 7 PM CEST | 5 PM GMT - please check the launch timing map below to find out when it drops in your exact timezone![/*]

- Scriptorium is a 100% human-made game and the result of years of hard work by real human artists, developers and medievalists. We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for GenAI, so everything you see in Scriptorium was human-made, including art and texts.[/*]
- Right now the game is available only on PC Steam, but we have heard many questions about additional platforms like MacOS, so if that changes in the future - we will let you know![/*]
- The game will cost $14.99 | €14.99 | 49,99 zł | 55,00 CNY | £12.99 and there are regional pricing adjustments in place for other currencies, especially for countries affected by lower purchasing power. And the best part - we prepared an awesome launch discount for you: it will be 20% off the base price mentioned! so you will pay even less than the base price during our launch time.[/*]
- The game is pretty big in terms of the tools you can use - we prepared over 2000 drawable assets inspired by real medieval art to use on almost 50 different parchments, with a total of 70 commissions in the Story Mode! Take a look at the map of content below to know what you can expect.[/*]

- The game will feature two main modes that you can freely choose from - Story Mode and Sandbox Mode. In Sandbox, you have everything unlocked from the get-go, and the game acts as your Medieval Photoshop or Canva. Regardless of the mode - expect a cozy, relaxing experience filled with the joy of running your own medieval workshop![/*]
- Gameplay-wise, Scriptorium is inspired by games like Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, Sticky Business, Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator, Tiny Glade and other cozy creative titles. If you like any of these games, it’s highly likely that you will have fun in our game too![/*]
- There will be no hard asset limit, but you’re going to receive a pop-up message if you place a huge amount of items, warning that you’re continuing at your own risk. Generally speaking it should be fine, but we can’t guarantee performance for every PC configuration if things get too crowded.[/*]
- The game does not contain any externally licensed, copyrighted music so you are free to stream and create content on Twitch, Kick, YT or anywhere you like - shortforms, streams, or longer videos are all welcome![/*]
- Can you use your artworks outside of Scriptorium in your game, novel or socials? YES. As long as it’s non-commercial use, you can do that without asking. If you expect to make a the profit, please contact us at collab\yazagames\com - we are absolutely not looking into profiting from your work, we would love to know what you would like to do with creations made in Scriptorium and potentially showcase your work on social media. Regardless - we are aiming to announce a proper commercial use policy in the coming weeks! So keep an eye out on our social media channels.[/*]
- In case of bugs and any problems with the game, please use THIS thread on the Steam forums, or join our Discord HERE, where you can chat with the developers, our creative community and enthusiasts of the Middle Ages. If you want to submit a suggestion (we really do read everything!), use THIS thread. [/*]
- It’s too early to share exactly what’s next, as so much depends on how the release goes, but you can certainly expect that we have some stuff to share with you in the coming weeks to make your Scriptorium experience even better. We won’t leave the game as it is, so expect more content to be added in the future.[/*]
- There will be a Deluxe Edition available, which will cost around $5 more than the game alone and will consist of the game, the soundtrack by Submerged Tapes (including two special tracks composed by the one and only bardcore musician Hildegard von Blingin’!), printable artworks and coloring sheets, printable tabletop games and more stuff we created in Scriptorium. The pack does not contain exclusive in-game content, as we wanted the full creative experience to be available to everyone with the base game. The Deluxe Edition is essentially a “Support Scriptorium Devteam” type of product for those who want to go the extra mile to help our studio succeed![/*]
- The game is playable on Steam Deck. While the experience might not be perfect or 100% tailored to the Deck just yet, it is definitely playable and should run without any major problems. We hope to get the green Verified badge in the future![/*]
