Hi there!
I’m Pablo, the artist behind Cozy Sanctuary and a member of the OPTeam. In the past, I’ve worked on games like Godstrike, Ruinraiders, and more recently, Block Factory, but this time, I finally got to make something truly personal.
Animals mean the world to me. I don’t just love them, I LOVE them. My social feeds are full of goofy Bernese mountain dogs, raccoons hoarding snacks, and cats slapping everything in sight. They make me laugh, they calm me down, they’re my happy place.
I’ve always dreamed of making a game about animals, but it never felt like the right time… until now.

Over the past few years, I’ve been following the rise of cozy games, romantasy books, and other heartwarming media. And then, boom, Rusty’s Retirement appeared a year ago, and I instantly fell in love.
A tiny, peaceful game that lives at the bottom of your screen while you work or chill? Genius. Especially for folks like me who work from home and need something relaxing on the side. That’s when the idea hit me:
What if we made a cozy idle game about taking care of animals while you do other things?
And so, Cozy Sanctuary was born!

With my friends (and programming wizards), we started building a little animal sanctuary, a safe space for animals who’ve had a rough time. You bathe them, feed them, play with them, and just… make them happy. We even added farming, where you use their “little messes” as fertilizer.
At first, we thought it would be a fun little side project, but our friends and family loved it, and we realized, maybe this could become something real. Launching a game on Steam as a small team is tough, but we decided to take the leap.
Today, we’re finally announcing Cozy Sanctuary to the world, and we need your help.
If this game makes you smile, please consider wishlisting it. It really helps more than you can imagine.
To be honest, game dev hasn’t always been easy. I’ve had my share of struggles with mental health while working in this industry. But this game, this weird little cozy world with silly furry creatures, has been one of the most joyful things I’ve ever made.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for being here. And thank you for supporting our fuzzy friends. 💖
